Logistics for Rentals
What areas do you service?
Our rental bikes can be shipped anywhere in the Continental US.
If you are outside of the Continental US, purchases can be shipped internationally.
How do I book a rental?
1 – Fill out a rental confirmation request on our rentals page with your event details and someone from our team will reach out to you. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged until your rental is confirmed.
2 – If we can accommodate your rental we’ll ask you to fill out a Rental Agreement and send you an invoice. Have a credit card handy, as we will need to have one on file to process your order.
3 – Once we receive a completed rental agreement and payment your booking is complete! A confirmation email with provide you with all the details and tracking information. Please note that bikes are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
NOTE: You may be subject to shipping and/or processing fees if you change your shipping location after you have already made full payment on your rental.
What comes with my rental?
Rock The Bike sends you the bikes and blenders you ordered, but we do not supply any cups or ingredients for making smoothies. Be prepared to acquire these items before your event! Check our sample shopping lists for guidance on what to get, whether you plan to hand out 100 smoothies in two hours or 500+ smoothies over two days.
If you don’t want to worry about acquiring the ingredients or setting up the bike, hire us! Check out Crewed Event Services.
Delivery / Shipping
Local Bay Area Rentals: For rentals in the Bay Area, you can choose to pick up and drop off your bike from our workshop in Oakland for no additional fee. The bike is available for pick up a day before your event and needs to be returned the day after. Our main pickup location is our workshop in Oakland, but we can also arrange pickup in San Francisco. Local rentals come mostly or fully assembled. Our team will help you load it! Alternatively, you can have us deliver it to you – fees start at $250.
Out of town Rentals: For out of town rentals, we package and ship the Fender Blenders to you via FedEx. Your rental bike(s) will arrive unassembled but will include all the tools and instructions needed to put it together. Allow 45-60 minutes for assembly.
Receiving: We arrange delivery of your rental two weekdays before your event, but only guarantee delivery the day before your event. The extra day is to account for any shipping delays. If you need additional time for setup or breakdown you can request it for an additional fee.
Returning: Return labels are included on the inside of the box lid. Make sure you wash out any blenders and cross out any old labels before you return the rental. You can either drop it off at the closest FedEx location or call to have them come pick it up the following day. Same-day pickup is not available so make sure you call ahead.
If this cost is too great for your budget, we recommend purchasing a FB Universale, which starts at $499. Unfortunately, we do not rent the Fender Blender Universale.
Pallet Shipping: For those customers that prefer their bike(s) to arrive ready-to-blend, we offer pallet shipping. Pallet shipping will arrive on the date you specify, even at a specific time of day if you desire. Shipping companies may charge extra if your destination is a limited-access location (schools, for example), a residence, or requires a lift-gate (if there is no loading dock or forklift available). Contact us today to get an estimate (please provide a destination address).
Branding
Can I brand my rental bike?
Yes! We offer full vinyl custom wheel cover wraps for rentals, and they are quite eye-catching. The fee for printing graphics, installation, and post-event removal is $475 per bike. Artwork must be received in print-ready format. For an additional $300 fee, Rock the Bike can assist with graphic layout, design and include a rendering proof.
Making your own wheel branding art? Art must be received print-ready – 300dpi in PDF or TIFF file format. Download the wheel branding template and see examples here
