Sweetskinz look great with the Down Low Glow

The bright colors of the Sweetskinz look amazing when you roll with the Down Low Glow. Experimentation has revealed that Ice Blue and especially Envy Green and  has a phosphorescent effect on the Nightwing color scheme shown above.

All Sweetskinz tires also include integrated reflective patterns in the tread. It's easy to see which part is reflective whenever you take flash photos of your bike with Sweetskinz installed. Here's an example:

As you can see, the part that looks silver / grey in the daytime, becomes active at night when light shines on it.  

Leif to the rescue

A recent blowout
on the rear Sweetskinz on our LiveOnBike rig (not during a performance,
thankfully) has cast doubt on whether Sweetskinz are up to the task of
cargo bike use. That particular tire was a year old and still had some
tread on it. You may feel it's worth the risk to have the effect of the
Sweetskinz, or you may choose to put a sturdier tire on the rear and
roll with Sweetskinz in the front.

Otherwise, the weight and tread durability of these tires is about average, and they do not have integrated flat protection. The cruiser tread pattern doesn't have a center rolling strip and is therefore a bit slower than your average street / commuter tire. They had a good reason to do it that way -- the raised areas of the tread protect the color in the recessed areas.

Certainly for use on a city bike or cruiser, Sweetskinz pumped up to 60-70 psi will roll well, with very few flats. (Flat tires are much more likely when you ride with 20-40 psi.)
