Will the DLG fit my folding bike?
The Down Low Glow is a great choice for folding bikes because they often have long seat posts or frame tubes. The DLG's 12.5" long light tubes often look proportionally right on these bikes.
On the other hand, the fact that you'll be folding your folder means you have to consider whether the DLG will get in the way at critical moments, like boarding a BART train. Fortunately, you can always pop the DLG off your bike, leaving the mounting pieces on. When you get good at this, it'll take you an additional 15-30 seconds over the time it normally takes to fold your bike.
Whether or not you have to remove your DLG each time comes down to the individual bike -- how tight the clearances are when it folds, whether wires will get caught. Often our single tube systems will be easier to mount in a way that you can leave them on while folding.
Here are some examples of mounting options on folding bikes:

Note the rear facing light tube in option 3, an amazing rear visibility light, extremely visible from a true 180 degree sweep.
For those who have the smallest folders, you may need to remove or push aside the mounting pieces when you do the folding procedure. All the parts of the Down Low Glow can be removed without tools.
