Hi Paul,
Happy happy happy is what my crazy neighbor says when he takes his
signs and sits at the Powell Street cable car turnaround, but it's
what I feel like saying riding my new bike! I rode home with it
Monday night and had so much fun I rode right past my house and kept going!
The Down Low Glow gave me such a feeling of safety, knowing I was
seen, that I had the first relaxed night ride in my life. You're
right: the night ride is quality time. The traffic is much less,
the sun doesn't make you hot, I had lots of streets to myself, and it
gave me a real feeling of freedom. Thank you so much for inventing it!
The bike itself is fabulous. It feels so zippy, even loaded. I
haven't ridden Sam again, but the 3 under-120 pound people I had on
there felt like nothing really. Yesterday I hit a clothing store,
the farmers' market (half flat of strawberries), the library and the
produce market in one trip. If I had been getting more groceries
than I did, I'd have needed to carry the strawberries on the snap
deck, so I've got to figure out how to do that. But so far this is
all making me very happy happy happy!
Thanks for all you're doing for the world.
Pam
