Rock the Bike collaborator The Juice Peddler's uncanny earth (and media) friendly inventions have surfaced yet again at the Virgin Music Festival in Baltimore this past weekend, where Sir Richard Branson pedaled himself a smoothie on the Fender Blender.
Not to limit himself to the realm of food production, the Juice Peddler also brought a second Fender Blender with a simple but effective human power demonstration. It offered festival goers the ability to feel the difference in wattage between a compact fluorescent and incandescent (traditional) light bulbs. Pedaling the CFL light feels about 3-4 times easier than the incandescent bulb, for the same light output.
