Rock the Bike aiming to Pedal Power Maker Faire music stage

Our sites are set on Maker Faire, May 30, 31 at the San Mateo fairgrounds. We hope you'll be there to join us as Rock the Bike pedal powers 12 great Bay Area bands with our Pedal Powered Stage. To give you a small taste, here are some moments from last year.

But wait, there's lots more to look forward than amazing bands rocking the Faire under pedal power.

There's also:

First Annual Dolores Park to Maker Faire social ride.  Meeting at 9AM and departing at 9:30, the ride is about 19 miles over mostly flat terrain, and will take a leisurely pace, cruising with music on our party bikes.

Inspired by the Peninsula Rally to the North American Handbuilt Bike Show in 2007, the Maker Faire ride will begin with coffee and bagels for those who arrive on time. The Rock the Bike crew will bring out our freshest Soul Cycles and some new DJ mixes to make be getting your morning started right with some fresh DJ Mixes for the ride.

The Pedal Powered Stage will also be the debut of El Arbol, a stunning new Soul Cycle from Fossil Fool.

While still a gleam in its mother's eye, by Maker Faire, El Arbol will either be the most artistically and sonically advanced human-powered audio system on two wheels, a top/bottom passenger-carrying tandem tall bike in the form of a Manzanita tree, or still in progress. Either way, it'll be down at Maker Faire, so come on down and check it out. Between now and the Faire, follow the progress on El Arbol by visiting the El Arbol photo blog

Rock the Bike has been involved with Maker Faire since 2007, when we taught a bicycle audio skillshare and showed off the Choprical Fish and our Fender Blender Pro bike blender.

With better sound quality and more pedal power bikes, this year's Pedal Powered Stage will be the coolest yet.
